Mrs. Dawn Patchell is the founder and director of Ace Academy. Not a newcomer to ACE, Dawn served as a tutor for a year an a half, She has taught in 3 different states over the last 20 years, specializing in special education. Teaching is her passion and life's work. Dawn has a bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders and a Teaching Certificate in mild/moderate special education which she obtained from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Dawn, her husband, Jim, and son, Lane, have lived in Jonesboro for the past eight years. Jim is the head track and field coach at ASU and Lane is 15 and attends Valley View Schools.
"I believe that confidence is key to educational success! Show a child that they can be successful in one thing then there is a ripple effect that carries on with them throughout their educational career." When a parent invests in their child's education, it is the greatest gift. Children need to know that education is important. They need to see that their caretakers believe it,too! In giving children knowledge, you give them power over their lives! I hope that we at ACE Academy can be a guiding light for your child on the path to success!
